This is the picture of John Calvin, the reformer. Towards the end Calvin said to those friends who were worried about his daily regimen of work, "What! Would you have the Lord find me idle when He comes?" This saying was not coming out in the midst of happy condition; otherwise, it's coming out in the midst of his severe sickness, such as: migraines, lung hemorrhages, gout, and kidney stones. At times he had to be carried to the pulpit. And also, according to his successor, Theodore Beza, Calvin took only one meal a day for a decade. But how could Calvin say the beautiful words towards his end of life? I believe that he accomplished what he prayed for so long: Cor meum tibi offero Domine prompte et sincere which means my heart I offer to you Lord, promptly and sincerely. Let us follow his footprints in following Jesus!
